PRIVACY NOTICE · 7 Sep 2026
Your photos stay
part of your request.
Closet Verdict combines private wardrobe tools with personal guidance. This notice explains what we collect and how to ask us to delete it.
What we collect
We collect the email address you use for passwordless sign-in, plus any notes, wardrobe-item images, person images, saved style-reference images and closet tags you choose to submit. Closet Verdict records an anonymous funnel on its own server, including page visits, selected goals, upload progress and coarse submission outcomes. These events do not include your email, notes, photos, filenames or request identifiers. Meta receives only limited standard conversion events and technical advertising-attribution data. Meta may also receive a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address for an explicitly consented contact event. We do not send Meta your photos, notes, style references, filenames or wardrobe fields.
How we use it
We use submitted information to prepare, deliver and improve your requested wardrobe guidance, maintain your private closet and prevent abuse. We do not sell your information or use submitted photos for advertising. If you separately allow AI improvement, selected anonymized clothing samples may be used to improve recognition and styling rules.
Advertising measurement
The Meta Pixel and Conversions API measure limited standard conversion events and advertising attribution without receiving submitted content. Hotjar helps us understand clicks, scrolling and navigation on public pages. Hotjar is not loaded on private wardrobe, upload or decision pages, and private forms, photos, notes and links are suppressed. A separate AI improvement choice controls whether anonymized clothing samples can enter our quality library. A separate, optional choice lets you save a private style-reference image for future recommendations; you can delete that reference later. Declining optional choices does not prevent you from using Closet Verdict.
Photos of another person
Only upload a photo of another person when you have their permission. A face is optional. Do not upload images of children.
Storage and access
Supabase provides passwordless authentication and private cloud storage for your closet. Signed-in closet data is protected by account-level access rules. Requests are accessed by the Closet Verdict team and service providers needed to host the site, store uploads, send email and measure consented analytics.
Retention and deletion
We retain requests while the service operates so you can revisit your private closet. You may ask us to delete your account, closet, requests, photos, contact details and any AI improvement samples at any time. We will confirm the request using the email associated with the account or submission.
Your choices
You can decline optional measurement, request access or correction, or request deletion. To change a previous measurement choice, clear this site's browser data or contact us. These requests do not affect a verdict already delivered.
Effective 9 Sep 2026. We will update this notice when the service or our data practices materially change.
