Fit & proportion · Updated 2026-10-20
How do I check blazer proportions for a petite frame?
Start with shoulder placement, sleeve length and jacket length relative to the trousers or skirt you plan to wear. Height alone cannot determine fit; garment measurements and a worn photo are needed before recommending alterations or a size.
What to compare
- Shoulder. The seam and sleeve head should support the intended structured or relaxed shape.
- Sleeve. Check where the cuff lands and whether tailoring is practical.
- Length. Compare the jacket hem with the waist and volume of the lower half.
- Styling goal. An oversized blazer and a classic fitted blazer need different proportions.
What this cannot prove
- A flat product image cannot establish shoulder fit.
- This is styling guidance, not a promise that a labelled size will fit.
Compare the blazer
Start with your own photos. The result shows what it can tell and what still needs checking.
