Is this clothing purchase a duplicate?

Treat a purchase as a likely repeat only when at least two independent signals overlap. Category and subtype count as one signal; colour alone is never enough. A different use, fit or material can make a similar-looking piece a real addition.

What to compare

  • Role. Would both pieces be worn for the same outfits and occasions?
  • Shape. Compare length, volume, rise, shoulder and hem—not just category.
  • Material. Weight, texture and season can create a different wardrobe job.
  • Replacement. A better-fitting replacement is different from adding another copy.

What this cannot prove

  • Photos cannot prove comfort, fabric composition or how often an item is worn.
  • A final verdict changes when the owned item is damaged, uncomfortable or being replaced.
Compare my own pieces

Start with your own photos. The result shows what it can tell and what still needs checking.
